(c) to me and the Barony of Krae Glass
I feel that I should add a note for the historical reenacters. While I Tried to keep this as true to the period as possible there were some concessions I made in the name of just plain coolness. The first is of course the waves, while adhering pretty closely I feel to illuminated water of the time, I have found no example of them being used in a crest like this. The second deliberate inaccuracy is the octopus. There are quite simply no illustrations of octopuses (that I could find after several hours in books and google) in medieval Europe to reference from. They used them in Greek, and their are renascence images of kracken, but nothing in Europe, even though I am resonably sure they were aware of the creatures.
I acknowledge these sacrifices in the name of art, but I regret nothing!
