Kel'chathr snake

Kel’chathr’s werewolf charm was his go-to toy for fun and stress relief for a while, but it has been becoming less and less relevant to his character. Then because SOME POEPLE (oh and you guys know who you are) keep re-blogging awesome and adorable snake photos on tumblr, it finally clicked that he would much rather chill as a snake. 

So, snake charm beads. I love the idea of making a bead out of a strip of metal foil engraved with a spell then wrapped in a coil and finished. 

I amuse myself thinking that his progression in crafting these items was probably a great deal like my development of them. The werewolf was first, as an experiment, then he progressed to a full animal transformation (the duck), then put what he learned from those two projects into this final more versatile piece. Like The werewolf charm this final piece would take on colourations close as possible to that of the wearer, like the duck it also can reduce the wearer to the size of the original animal template negating mass conversion. Like both, anyone could wear it to the same effect, but unlike both a first time user might have a little trouble figuring out how to change back. 

A weresnake just suits him so much better than a werewolf.  Its a perfect match for someone who wishes to be perceived as aggressive and standoffish, but in reality is just a shy creature wishing to not be seen, and curl up and relax on a warm rock somewhere undisturbed.
